Unaccompanied Minor(s) Services
Each person undertakes an independent living skills programme which is monitored
and assessed on a regular basis. We also provide links to local colleges who offer
the opportunity to study for recognised qualifications.
Higher levels of support are provided with staff on hand 24 hours a day and a range of partner
agencies helping to deliver comprehensive support packages.
For Unaccompanied Minors, they are accommodated in Shared Accommodation, either in a semi staffed or 24 hour facility.
Each Unaccompanied Minor will have their own separate bedroom, with all the relevant amenities for comfortable living.
Here is a list of some of the services we offer for Unaccompanied Minors:
- Health Care monitoring and reviews.
- GP Surgery Registration.
- Opticians Registration.
- Dentist Surgery Registration.
- Religion.
- Support to access places of worship and to be able to practice religion. .
- Education.
- ESOL and appropriate level Maths and further English and this will progress to higher levels and or vocational courses.
- Financial Education/Budgeting.
- Opening bank accounts.
- Shopping on a budget.
- Paying bills.
- Social and recreations.
- Support around accessing community resources, parks, swimming etc. for sports and leisure.
- Support around Status.
- Accompanying Unaccompanied Minor to Solicitor/Legal Services.
- Accompanying Unaccompanied Minor to Home Office Interviews.
- Accompanying Unaccompanied Minor to Solicitor/Legal Services.
- Help with integration into the Local Community.
